Though Congress has remained two steps behind the majority figures. Earlier, senior Congress leader Kamal Nath had a press conference at the Congress party office in Bhopal and had claimed that his party is going to form the government with a full majority in the state. He also said that after the results the MPs would be on a different journey of development. Madhya Pradesh Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath and party’s senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia are included in the race for the post of Chief Minister.
The Congress party is returning to power after performing better in the Rajasthan assembly elections. Congress has emerged as the biggest party by winning 99 seats, while BJP has won 73 seats, BSP 6 and others 21 seats.
