Navratri means nine nights. Each Navratri day has different energy, significance and represents forms of goddess Durga. Navratri is one of the most energetic festivals in India. However, it is been celebrated all over India but Gujrat, West Bengal celebrates Navratri at a huge level. In Gujrat, people play Garba or Dandiya all nine days whereas people in West Bengal celebrate on the name of “Durga Puja.”
Navratri is more than a festival and it has meaningful significance as it represents power, strength, and energy of goddess Durga as a woman. There are several forms goddess Durga but during Navratri Indian worship for mainly nine form of her.

Skandamata represents and worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri. She is the mother of Kartikeya.
NAVRATRI DAY 6: MA KATYAYANI

Goddess Katyayani represents and worshipped on the 6th day. She was born to sage Katya thus she named on him as Katyayani. She took birth to kill demon Mahisasura and also known as Mahisasurmardani.
NAVRATRI DAY 7: MA KALARATRI
Goddess Kalratri is the most aggressive form of Devi Parvati. She Killed demons Shumbha & Nishumbha.
