NEW DELHI: Nyato Dukam, a candidate fielded by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Taliha assembly seat unopposed, according to the Election Commission of India.
Taliha, situated in Upper Subansiri district is one of the 60 Assembly constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh. It comes under the Arunachal West Parliament Constituency.
The voting in Taliha in the Assembly election 2024 took place on April 19.
Nyato Dukam of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was contesting from Taliha, without any opposition in the Assembly election 2024.
In the Assembly election 2019, Nyato Rigia (BJP) won the seat with 5,024 votes and 55.93% vote share. Rudham Sindhu (NPEP) was the runner-up receiving 3,821 votes and 42.54% vote share. The margin of votes between the two candidates was 1,203.
